Dark Captain played a stellar show to a packed Rose & Crown last night. The band, who were supported by Bella Echoes and Chad Mason, performed material from their first two albums and got a great reception. We’ve got some photos and videos from the show.
Walthamstow has a new house music club, launched at the beginning of February. Club Lick has rebranded as House E17, which claims to be “The place for house music”. There will, however, continue to be Club Lick events in the new club.
Today saw the relaunch of Wood Street Indoor Market. Although a lot of the existing tenants are still there, sixteen new units have opened up, and the first day of business was today. There was plenty of activity and interest in the new venture.
Tokarska Gallery on Forest Road is hosting an exhibition by German photographer Lia Vio in February. The exhibition is entitled ‘Solely in my head’, and runs from Thursday 2 – Saturday 25 February.
A new restaurant has recently opened on Hoe Street. Flaimin’ Steak Grill is located on the corner Albert Road and Hoe Street, and appears to offer a selection of meaty treats.

Wood Street Indoor Market will be opening the doors to a range of new tenants with a launch event on Saturday 11 February. The market will feature 21 new shops, plus the cool old ones, and the launch is an all-day event.
